Hydra

A bigger, four-motor version of GX8 Pyro on 24-inch propellers, built to pull line across valleys where roads and cranes can't go.

Hydra takes the GX8 Pyro airframe to 24-inch propellers on four motors and specialises it for one job: stringing pilot lines across valleys and rivers for hydropower, power and communication lines. A drop mechanism under the body releases the line.

Designed by Adarsha Raj Bhusal and first flown in 2026, it now works on three hydropower project sites in Nepal.

GarudX line-stringing also reconnected communities cut off by the 2026 flood.
